It’s great to read a glowing review of the special little chalets we constructed the frames for down at Three Mile Beach, Gwithian.

This was always going to be an amazing place to stay, but please click hear to read all about it!!

Building the Dream

It was a pleasant surprise to see one of the projects we have always been proud of on TV last week.

During Series 10, episode 7 of Building the Dream the self builders visited Graham Bizleys home.

It clearly looks as great now as it did way back when the build was completed!!

ISO9001 & STA Membership

Following an extremely busy and productive start to this year, we are now excited to be working to enhance our current Quality Management Systems to ISO9001.

We have always been comfortable that the systems we currently have in place are to a high standard, but now working to incorporate ISO9001 has given us that extra confidence to confirm this. This process will only help us to improve our strong customer focus, which has always been extremely important to us as a team.

While improving our quality management systems, we are also taking the opportunity to work towards gaining STA membership, which again is only good thing for us and our customers.

Job Vacancy – Experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our thriving Timber Frame company within the heart of the South West.

Although experience in Timber Frame would be beneficial, it is not essential.

Our projects range from small extensions to multi-storey apartments. You would be closely involved with clients and the design team, from the initial contractual pre let meetings through to project completion and final valuations.

Client relations is extremely important to us, the right candidate would need to continue to build relationships with new and existing clients.

For further details please contact Andy Barefoot – andy@allwoodtimber.co.uk

COVID-19 Update – Business as usual, just different!!

Following the recent Government guidelines, we currently have employees working from home, specifically within our QS, estimating and procurement departments. Our design teams are also still working on current jobs, and are readily available to start new projects to keep the wheels of progress turning.

Please do continue to telephone our main switchboard or just email, we are still here to help and deal with your queries/enquiries.

Things are likely to take a little longer than usual, but please bear with us, we will respond as quickly as possible.

Like all of you, our priority is taking care of our people and the people we work with during this unsettling and unprecedented time.

Page Park Community centre brightened up a dull day in Bristol

It’s the first time we’ve seen the finished building in the flesh and it was well worth the trip.

The external cigar shaped glulams looked fabulous, and the menu in the Bean Tree Cafe looked pretty good too!

It’s always a pleasure to be involved with these projects, especially when you see the end result going to such good use to pull the local community together.

Budleigh Salterton’s new Bakery should now be water tight

We recently finished the roof on a very tight, oddly shaped site new build, which looked great.

This combination of trusses and loose cut roof structure had to accommodate not only a supporting frame that was not parallel, but also cantilevers and even a curve to one end.

Well done to the full team who completed this tricky project from design through to construction perfectly.
