CE South West Awards Finalist 2022

It’s exciting that one of our projects is a finalist this year.

The Estuary House in Shaldon was a special project to be involved in, with an exceptional finished product . For more details on the project see our earlier post or take a look at the architects website.

Glulam feature trusses look great

The first of a pair of pre-fabricated glulam feature trusses is almost ready to leave our factory, and it really does look nice.

In a time when most of our projects have cranked steel frames hidden between the rafters, it has been a pleasure to create this structural visual frame.

Our loose rafters are also piling up ready for delivery, with birdsmouth and rafters end pre-cut.

Belmont Park, Exeter

Since completing our works back in 2019, Belmont Hut Community Centre in Exeter has certainly blended in to Belmont Park beautifully.

It is clearly a vast improvement on the old prefab structure it replaced.

The sun is shining on Three Mile Beach, Gwithian

After what feels like a long-wet winter, it’s certainly worth a look at these beautifully finished chalet’s set back from the lovely beach at Gwithian, Cornwall.

The finish both inside and out looks fantastic – colourful enough to brighten up any day.

We feel privileged to have been a part of this project, so take this opportunity to thank P Chapman Construction for making us a part of the team.

A house of 2 halves in Lympstone

The lower level of this impressive house was constructed using traditional building methods, with our first floor timber frame supported off a transfer slab.

The entire structure is highly insulated, with our external wall panels constructed using 235mm wide timbers.

We worked closely with the architect to ensure our frame was detailed to suit their needs, with downpipes concealed within the walls leaving a clean uncompromised external finish.

Classroom at New Forest Primary School

Over the years we have constructed many classroom buildings, of varying sizes. It’s always nice to see the finished buildings, and hear what a huge difference it has made to the village school of Landford.

Exmouths hidden apartments

Tucked away just off the sea front is Estuary Reach, new apartments with a contemporary finish.

They can be difficult to see until you are right in front of them, down Exmouth’s narrow streets.

The finish looks great, and the views from the upper level terrace are fantastic.

Sunset in Brighton

After so many wet days on site, here is our erector happy in his work at the end of a stunning day in the Roedean area of Brighton.

Clear blue skies, sun is shining and the frame for this high spec house is looking great.

Something special in Shaldon, Devon

Every now and again we have the pleasure of working on something a little different, the finished product of this timber and steel frame structure really does look fantastic.

With views over the Teign estuary, the cantilevered first floor could not be better situated.

Horham, West Sussex – 40 Houses

It’s great to see finished photos of this large housing development, recently completed in West Sussex.

The site contained a variety of house types, with very few repeat units, but with the right design team on the project we were able to meet our clients needs and timescales.
